Kamikaze Cows

For anybody who loves steak and leather shoes and you’ve always felt guilty about that because you think cows are intelligent, well, I have good news.

From Yahoo Odd NewsSPOKANE, Washington (Reuters) – A cow plunged from a 200-foot (61-metre) cliff onto the hood of a minivan on a highway in central Washington state, according to police.

The car’s occupants, Charles and Linda Everson, were not hurt in Sunday’s accident, but the cow was euthanized at the scene.

“If the cow had fallen a split second later, the animal would have landed right in their laps,” said Jeff Middleton, criminal deputy of the Chelan County Sheriff’s Department.

Middleton estimated the animal weighed 600 lbs (272 kilograms), or the average size of a mature cow. It had been missing for two days and wandered 5 miles (8 km) from home near the popular Lake Chelan tourist area.

Obviously, this cow wasn’t a California cow, because everyone knows they’re happy cows and therefore not as likely to commit suicide.

Below is the last picture taken of the cow, who was said to be depressed  because  sheep have it so much better.

The sheep might quibble with that last statement.

But then, I’m from Arkansas. 😉

  2. Dan Says:

That’s what you get when you start messing around crossbreeding cows with lemmings.

That’s funny – in a sad and scary sort of way.

Around here, we have suicidal moose and deer which run out in front of cars. Sadly, though, they take a lot of drivers with them in the process.

  4. Crystal Says:

My coworker got hit in the head by a suicidal turkey. It flew right through the passenger window and decapitated itself on her lap.

The funny thing is that the farmer, who had a turkey FARM, refused to accept that the turkey was one of his.

    Rogue turkey.

It’s hard to admit that you’re raising suicidal turkeys. I’m sure there’s a stigma attached.

It’s much easier to pretend that all your turkeys are well-adjusted and productive members of society.

Well since no one else has,
I will have to name this for
    what it is.

    Nothing less than Cow terrorism.

    Keep eating steak and sport
    those leather belts.

    Otherwise the Cows win.

The sheep don’t have it better in New Zealand though……..

    Can’t…stop…laughing…not a california cow!

    BUAH HAH HAH HA HAAAAA

  9. Patsy(GrandmaPatsy) Says:

The cow was really headed for Califorina, exscaping and going south.. Some smart-ass Washington moose told her Cal. was over the next rise. You know northwestern cows are push-overs. (hee-hee)

Ok, I don’t know what was funnier, the story or the comments!
